The Reads

For the past three months I've been deployed overseas.

I've been reading quite a lot, but as of recently, I have come to a stand still in which I've read everything I purchased before I left, and now have nothing new to read.

I love my Nook; I am a loyal Barnes and Noble customer.

BUT, I'm seriously sick and tired of the way their online website is set up.

Not going to be misleading or anything, I thoroughly enjoy the young adult teen novels because it's what I feel most connected to and most related to. Can I say that some of the shit on the walls just SUCK!?

I'm tired of little girls falling in love with vampires. I want Anne Rice Lestat-esque vampires. Not shiny ones.

I'm not particularly fond of the whole werewolf thing anymore unless it's intense like Underworld where I absolutely 100% appreciate the Lycans and the way they look and act.

So where do I go to find things that are different and interesting, you may ask!?

After tons of searching through loops and backhoes through the website, that is!

Here's a list of the books that I've read since being deployed:

Intensity (Dean Koontz)
Birthmarked & Prized ( Caragh M. O'Brien)
Die for Me (Amy Plum)
Divergent &Insurgent (Veronica Ross)
The Girl of Fire and Thorns / The Crown of Embers / Shadow Cats ( Rae Carson)
Paper Towns (John Green)
The Raft (S.A Bodeen)
Uglies / Pretties / Specials / Extras (Scott Westerfeld)
Article 5 ( Kristen Summons)
Starters (Lissa Price)
Dreamless & Starcrossed (Josephine Angelini)
Carnival of Souls (Melissa Marr)
The Girl in The Arena (Lise Haines)

I also attempted to read In the Forest of Hands And Teeth by Carrie Ryan but it pissed me off too much that I only made it in half way.

My favorites out of the group would definitely be the Girl of Fire and Thorns, Intensity, as well as the Birthmarked books.

Everything else was good, no doubt, but I highly highly HIGHLY recommend those out of all of them.
