Dead To You by Lisa McMann

Ethan was abducted from his front yard when he was just seven years old. Now, at sixteen, he has returned to his family. It's a miracle...at first. Then the tensions start to build. His reintroduction to his old life isn't going smoothly, and his family is testing apart all over again. If only Ethan could remember something, anything, about his life before, he'd be able to put the pieces back together. But there's something that's keeping his memory blocked. Something unspeakable....

This is another one I genuinely liked. I have read all of Lisa McManns novels and uhm... Actually I own them all!

I downloaded this book yesterday, and read through it at work. It's not that long of a book, only 173 pages, so I read through it relatively quickly.

This whole story is following a teenage boy who can't remember nothing about his past. He lived a hard life with his abductor and tried desperately to come back but the only problem was that he didn't even realize that he had a family besides his abductor until much later afterwards. Hence, why he's showing up at 16 when he was abducted at 6. He faces his family that he knows he should know and love but can't help but feel disconnected and unwanted, especially by his brother younger brother Blake.

Throughout the book you're dropped major hints to the reality of the situation. Having read McManns other books I figured it might have some sort of supernatural something to it so I was excited to figure out what was going on. I'm not going to lie, I was kind of disappointed in the ending and the overall reasoning to everything, but it all makes sense with the details and the events in the book.

I love his little sister Gracie! She's so adorable and young. You just get a sense of something constant and genuine in the book that's absent with the rest of his family and those around him.

I think that this is a great book. Its a good read and keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat.

I do wish that it ended differently! I can't be mad or unhappy with the ending at all because it works and it makes sense and it's good!! But I just wanted it to be like OH SNAP!!! But really, it's just like oh....huh!

4/5 people! And check out her other books! The Wake trilogy is AMAZING!
